    research to business applications The new citadel of high tech businesses will be set up at Ferrara in the vicinity of the faculty of Engineering thanks to an agreement between the Municipality and the university as part of the initiatives financed by Objective 2 European funding the programme for sustaining development of territories drawn up by the Emilia Romagna Region The project approved by the Council is aimed at companies working in the bio medical technological mechanical and IT sectors The area will be made up of two parallel building units which will host the production units a services room with heating plant and Enel substation for electricity a meeting area and a conference room The new establishment area will be built in observance of all safety standards including the criteria for fire compartmentation and taking into account the criteria of bio construction for energy saving and reduction of environmental impact The construction will also include pedestrian routes green areas as well as a roadway for goods loading and offloading and car parks for personnel and the public The budget envisaged for the project is 2 132 000 euro to be financed in part with the Objective 2 funds amounting
