    of the project is to develop an event safety training course that meets actual needs is permanent i e lives on after the project and if possible constitutes the basis for a certification within event safety The main aim is to transfer an educational model that has been used in Sweden for the training of event safety personnel into an academic training programme that will be suitable for use in other European countries initially the Nordic and Baltic countries Therefore the CISKT project group outlined a three part training package CISKT is run by a consortium University of Karlstad University of Tartu University of Seinäjoki Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency Liveside Event Safety provider Supported by national reference groups Sweden Swedish National Police Agency Prehospital and Disaster Medicine Centre Göteborg CO municipal promoter Malmöfestivalen municipal festival Luger promoter Storsjöyran festival Show Security Event Safety provider Tarantsec Event Safety provider Friends Arena arena Stockholm Globe Arenas multiple arenas Estonia Viljandi Folk Music Festival 2013Estonian Ministry of Culture Tallinn Filharmonic Society Estonian Rescue Service G4S Finland Hartwall Arena LocalCrew Seinäjoki Tangofestival Jurassicrock festival Seinäjoki police Dep Provinssirockfestival Laurea university of applied sciences Project background The current situation in the event industry regarding safety is in one sense that it is organically grown The starting point was a perceived necessity in the industry rather than government impositions The development in the industry has been mainly self regulatory CISKTdiscussions started on the assumption that atraining package should be holistically designed to meet the entire perceived situation or at least not exclusively focus on the raising of competence The goals therefore of the training package are to educate the entities involved and to create interfaces for cooperation and dialogue The purpose of the project is to develop an event safety training course that meets actual needs
