  • Spanish group Gestamp will expand production in Wroclaw. The new plant is now being built - Investors quide

    is a good decision for all concerned and for the whole city We see great potential for further development of the production of household appliances in Wroclaw says Konrad Pokutycki CEO of BSH Home Appliances who adds We see this transaction as an opportunity not only to increase the scale of operations in Poland but also the further development of the BSH Group Modernization and then resumption of production The company s own funds will cover the cost of buying the factory which along with the conditional option of severance payments to employees is 95 million zloty net According to the declaration made in the offer shortly after the completion of the transaction the modernization of the plant and new investments begin BSH is ready to allocate several hundred million zloty for this purpose In the application for permission to operate in a special economic zone in Wroclaw the company declared the expected employment of at least 300 people But today we know that in order to implement plans for factory the employment should be around 500 people So far BSH has invested over two billion dollars in four factories operating in Poland To adjust the Wroclaw plant to the standards of the BSH group including high standards of quality efficiency and safety and preparation for the production of new products of the brands owned by the company it will be necessary to implement a one and a half year production break With the planned plant investments products from Wroclaw where kitchen appliances are to be created will be able to be competitive in the global market of home appliances This is because more than 90 percent of BSH s production from the capital of Lower Silesia would be set aside for export as is the case in the company
